Learn about Advanced Agricultural technologies and design your own automated lettuce farm
In this activity, groups of students will design and build an automated plant growing system with the micro:bit and sensor kit. To keep things simple, they're not going to build a full hydroponics or aquaponics set up but rather a simple automated irrigation system. Their goal is to build an optimized lettuce growing system that utilizes the least water while achieving the most growth.
Please note: This course is designed to be used in conjunction with the InkSmith Climate Action Kit. The Kit contains all the robotic parts and the PCB breakout board needed to complete the project. You will need at least one micro:bit per kit to complete the project, however, the more micro:bits the better.
