In this course, students will engage in a persona-based design thinking challenge.

In this course, students will create solutions to challenges that real people in their communities may face.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Describe and apply the design thinking USERS framework to a variety of problems
  • Collaborate in teams to apply the USERS framework to create a solution
  • Exercise a deep understanding of how design is a human-centered process
  • Practice transforming an abstract design into a marketable, product-based solution
  • Communicate the creative process and final solution to classmates

  • filament for 3D printer


Prerequisite Skills

  • Familiarity with TinkerCAD or other 3D printing software
