In this course, students will learn about the bridge construction process and discuss the ethics of engineering before making a 3D printed bridge!

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Understand the steps of the design process
  • Use appropriate problem solving processes and techniques
  • Use models to improve the design of construction projects
  • Create technical drawings to accurately lay out structures
  • Use computer technologies to transfer a paper sketch into a design
  • Prepare detailed estimates of quantities using appropriate metric or imperial units
