Explaining Design Thinking
A brief introduction to design thinking, some definitions, and applications.
In this course, students will learn about design thinking, broadly defined as a human-centered approach to creating solutions.
This brief introduction will review research and applications for design thinking and leads into a scenario-based group activity.
Duration: Up to (2) 40 minute sessions
Difficulty Level: Beginner
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Define and discuss design thinking and associated processes
- Think about and articulate how design thinking might relate across disciplines
- Review and understand what different areas of research have to say about design thinking
