Introduction to the Land Climate Action Kit
Learn about the climate change issues relating to Life on Land and how they relate to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
Whether it's your first time exploring the Land Climate Action Kit curriculum or your umpteenth time around and you're here for the latest (and dare we say greatest!) curriculum release - WELCOME!
Our latest curriculum release includes three modules that have been revamped and reimagined for any learning environment. These newly released and revamped courses include: Plants and Pollinators, Advanced Agriculture, and Deforestation. But don't worry - the kit components haven't changed and the Carbon Farming and Insect Farm courses you are familiar with are still here for you!
Designed for the diverse and complex needs of educators and learners - as well as your environments at home, online, or both - our newly updated modules will help teach mandated curriculum while exploring the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, developing digital literacy skills.
Each new module includes a Part A and Part B. Part A provides the background and context, while Part B provides the coding and physical computing activities that will help them build a prototype of something that will help to address the Global Goal they are exploring.
Please note: This course is designed to be used in conjunction with the InkSmith Climate Action Kit. The Kit contains all the robotic parts and the PCB breakout board needed to complete the project. You will need at least one micro:bit per kit to complete the project, however, the more micro:bits the better.
