In this activity, students will learn about some of the world's biggest landmark monuments and then create a miniature version using 3D printing.

Learning Goals
By the end of the course students will:
- Research and understand some of the world's biggest landmarks
- Understand and describe how one such monument was constructed and the materials used in contruction
- Transform an abstract design into a 3D printed object
- Connect science and social studies by exploring how history, arts, and engineering collide
Materials
- blank paper
- pens/pencils
- 3D Printer filament for printing (and scheduled time on the printer)
- 3D printer such as the Cubicon Single+
- slicing software such as Cubicreator or Simplify3D
- licensed CAD software such as Fusion 360, Inventor, TinkerCAD or SolidWorks
- computer and mouse for each student
Prerequisites
- Familiarity with TinkerCAD or other 3D printing software
