Solar Energy
Learn about the sun as a sustainable source of energy and build your own solar array.
This module is part of a course bundle for the Energy Climate Action Kit. This bundle of courses is designed to be used in conjunction with the physical Energy Climate Action Kit. Each kit comes with a coupon code to access this bundle of modules for free.
Students will learn about energy conservation, the sun and its importance to life on earth, properties of light, the greenhouse effect, solar energy technology, and United Nations Sustainable Development Goal number 7: Affordable and Clean Energy. Students will also be provided with guided materials to apply physical computing and coding to create a solar array that detects and tracks a light source, and then positions solar panels to optimize the amount of energy generated.
